Coaches pressure cooker in NRL

Its been said before, but the hardest job in Australia is more likely the role of NRL coach in the 2008 Rugby League Premiership. 16 club bosses battle it out weekly for League supremecy - the likes of Brian Smith and Nathan Brown; and possibly Matt Elliott under more pressure than most.

Clubs want results and fast, and the coaches are usually the head that gets chopped first. NRL season 2008 kicks off in only a few weeks time - so be sure and support your team in this years premiership!

Fattys Son Joins NRL Titans

Paul Vautin host of the Footy Show and former Manly NRL star, has been happy by the news his son Matt Vautin has been signed by NRL Side the Gold Coast Titans. Aged 17, the up and coming rugby league star Matt Vautin is poised to boost the outside backs ranks at the Titans and chances of seeing the son of fatty in action in 2008 seem good.

The Titans make their 2nd attempt at the NRL premiership in 2008 after slightly missing the finals in 2007.

The latest information from NRL News Rugby League relates to the NZ Warriors and their re-signing of fellow son Stacey Jones - the champion half returning in 2008 as a coaching assistant. This could be the missing ingredient the Warriors needed to take the next step the NRL premiership glory.

Assisting their Rugby League assault in 2008, they also have the services of Brisbane born player Brent Tate who will add startch to their outside backs should he remain injury free. The Warriors look well set to make a good run at this years NRL.
